ScottishPower
announces price rises for all customers in spite
of £805m profit announcement less than a
month ago:
Only
weeks after ScottishPower announced a massive
39% increase in operating profits the energy giant
has become the first major supplier to announce
a second round of energy price increases in 2006.
The timing of these announcements will evoke little
sympathy or understanding from ScottishPower’s
5.25 million customers who will be hit by significant
bill increases of £90 for gas and £35
for electricity and who will see their annual
bills soar from £858 to £983.
